EXTERIOR SIGNS:

• Can be unlit, illuminated from the inside, illuminated from the outside
   

• Can be made of metal, wood, coated foam, brick, stone or combinations of these materials
   

• Require a permit from the governing body (village/city/county) in which the sign will be located
   

• Usually require installation by a registered contractor
   

• Usually require a minimum 3-week lead time after permit has been granted
